The Egyptians were urgent They were willing to make all concessions, so they would but be gone; ransoming their lives, not only by prayers, but by their most precious things. For they said, We be all dead men When death comes into our houses it is seasonable for us to think of our own mortality.

Exodus 12:33

33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
