In the eleventh year, in the first day of the month By the eleventh year seems to be intended the eleventh of Jehoiachin's captivity; for Ezekiel seems to reckon this time chiefly from that period. What month it was is not mentioned: some think the first month of the year is meant; others the first month after the taking of Jerusalem.
