Then Jael took a nail of the tent That is, one of that sort on which the cords of the tent were fastened, and which consequently were of a large size. Come, and I will show thee the man whom thou seekest Thus both parts of Deborah's prophecy concerning Sisera were fulfilled. He was delivered into the hand of Barak, according to the prediction, Judges 4:7; but not alive, and therefore not to Barak's honour, as was foretold Judges 4:9. For, when he came into her tent, behold Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.

Judges 4:21-22

21 Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and tookd an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

22 And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.
