LAMED.

Psalms 119:89. For ever, O Lord, thy word, &c. The Hebrew may be rendered, thou art for ever, O Lord, thy word, &c. Or, thy word, O Lord, is for ever; firmly fixed in heaven. God's truth or faithfulness, upon which his laws are founded, is as fixed as the heaven and the earth; for they owe their durableness to the same truth. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations Every age affords fresh proofs of the truth of thy word. Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth In that place and state in which thou didst establish it, Ecclesiastes 1:4. They The heaven and the earth last mentioned; continue according to thine ordinance As thou didst appoint, and by virtue of thine appointment. For all are thy servants All things are subject to thy power and pleasure.

89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
