Psalms 37:1,2 - Joseph Benson’s Commentary on the Old and New Testaments

Bible Comments

Fret not thyself Give not way to immoderate grief, or anger, or impatience; because of evil-doers Because they prosper in their wicked enterprises, while thou art sorely afflicted. Neither be thou envious, &c. Esteeming them happy, and secretly wishing that thou wert in their condition. They shall wither as the green herb For their happiness, the matter of thy envy, is but short-lived.

Psalms 37:1-2

1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
