Acts 14:27 - Albert Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Bible Comments

They rehearsed ... - Acts 11:4. They related what had happened; their dangers and their success. This they did because they had been sent out by the church, and it was proper that they should give an account of their work; and because it furnished a suitable occasion of gratitude to God for his mercy.

All that God had done ... - In protecting, guarding them, etc. All was traced to God.

Had opened the door of faith - Had furnished an opportunity of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, 1 Corinthians 16:9; 2 Corinthians 2:12.

Acts 14:27
