1 Corinthians 9:21 - Scofield Reference Notes

Bible Comments

without

The expression is peculiar and might be literally rendered, "not lawless toward God, but inlawed to Christ."

See "Law (of Christ)," (Galatians 6:2); (2 John 1:5).

It is another way of saying, "not under the law, but under the rule of grace." (Romans 6:14).

1 Corinthians 9:21

21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
