Then. — (And) Kings omits; but compare 2 Chronicles 6:30; 2 Chronicles 6:27; 2 Chronicles 6:23, which have the particle. So also some MSS., as well as the LXX., and Syriac, of Kings.

People. — The peoples.

And fear thee. — Better without and; as in Kings, “that they may fear thee.” So Syriac.
