He lighted down from the chariot to meet him. — An Oriental mark of respect. Literally, fell from off the chariot: an expression denoting haste (Genesis 24:64). The LXX. has “he turned,” which implies an ellipsis of “and descended.”

Is all well? — Naaman feared something might have befallen the prophet. The LXX. omits this.
