Exodus 12:14 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

Ye shall keep it a feast... by an ordinance for ever. — The Passover is continued in the Eucharist (1 Corinthians 5:7-8); and the Easter celebration, which the Church makes binding on all her members, exactly corresponds in time to the Paschal ceremony, and takes its place. In this way the Passover may be regarded as still continuing under Christianity, and as intended to continue, “even to the end of the world.”

Exodus 12:14

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
