Ezekiel 36:38 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

The flock of Jerusalem. — The comparison is with the vast flocks of sacrificial animals accustomed to be carried to Jerusalem at the great annual feasts. The object is to give a vivid idea of the numbers of the people, but there is an especial appropriateness in the simile from the fact that these flocks were devoted to the Lord.

Ezekiel 36:38

38 As the holyc flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
