Hebrews 10:13 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

Expecting. — This word belongs to the contrast just mentioned. He does not minister and offer His sacrifice again, but waits for the promised subjection of His foes. Once before in this context (Hebrews 9:28) our thought has been thus directed to the future consummation. There it consists in the second coming of Christ for the salvation of “them that wait for Him;” here it is He Himself who is “waiting,” and the end is the attainment of supreme dominion. (See Hebrews 1:3; Hebrews 1:13.)

Hebrews 10:13

13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
