Isaiah 33:3 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

At the noise of the tumult... — The “people” are the mingled nations of the Assyrian armies; the “tumult” is that of the rush and crash, as of a mighty tempest, when Jehovah should at last up lift Himself for the deliverance of His chosen ones.

Isaiah 33:3

3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
