Isaiah 33:6 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

Wisdom and knowledge... — The words are used in the higher sense, as in Proverbs 1:1-4, in contrast with the craft and devices of men, just as the “fear of the Lord” is the true treasure, in contrast with the silver and gold in which Hezekiah had been led to place his trust.

Isaiah 33:6

6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation:a the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
