The Lord God of hosts. — The solemn name (Jehovah Elohim Zebaoth) used for the second time in Jeremiah’s teaching (Jeremiah 2:19). The message is partly to the people — “Because ye speak this word,” partly to the prophet who was sent to bear his witness against them — “I will make my words in thy mouth.”
