To set up on high those that be low. — Thus his doctrine is that man’s exaltation must come from God, and not from his own vain strivings. (Comp. Psalms 75:4-10, and the prayer of Hannah, 1 Samuel 2:6-8; also Psalms 113:7, &c.)
