And the priest shall take. — After he separated a handful of the flour, which was burnt on the altar as a memorial to the Lord (see Leviticus 2:12), the officiating priest consumed the rest.

According to the offering made by fire. — Better, upon the offering made by fire. (See Leviticus 4:35.)
