And the flesh and the hide he burnt. — The flesh and the hide, which, were ordinarily the perquisite of the officiating priest (see Leviticus 6:26), were on this occasion to be burnt, because the priest was not permitted to partake of the sin offering which he offered for himself. (See Leviticus 4:35.)
