Matthew 26:23 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

He that dippeth his hand with me. — Better, he that dipped, as of an act just passed. It seems probable from what follows that these words also were spoken to a few only of the disciples, say to the four who were nearest to their Master. We can scarcely think of Judas as asking the question of Matthew 26:25, if he had heard the words and knew that they pointed to him as the traitor.

Matthew 26:23

23 And he answered and said,He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
