I am weak. — Properly, wither, or waste with disease, or languish, as in Hosea 4:3; Isaiah 16:8.

Vexed. — So LXX. and Vulg. Literally, affrighted. (Comp. Virgil’s gelidusque per ima cucurrit Ossa tremor.)

Psalms 6:2

2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
