Psalms 74:22,23 - Ellicott's Commentary On The Whole Bible

Bible Comments

These verses show that the psalm was actually composed amidst the dark days it describes. It ends in expostulatory prayer, with as yet no brighter gleam of hope than prayer itself implies — and that when seemingly directed to deaf ears.

Psalms 74:22-23

22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

23 Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increasethg continually.
