The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. What but Jesus, the uncreated word, can give comfort to an heart born down under the pressure of sin? Thy love (saith the church) is better than wine; Song of Solomon 1:2. Yes! for though wine may raise the drooping spirits as a momentary cordial, yet Jesus's love raiseth the dead. Ephesians 2:1
