fit. Greek. katheko. Only here and Romans 1:28. To teach the Gentiles that the Messiah of the Jews was. crucified malefactor was an outrageous offence to the orthodox Jew (1 Corinthians 1:23).

22 And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.
