the house of Israel. (First occurrence.) The Massorah (App-30) contains. list of all the occurrences of this expression. There are fourteen occurrences of this expression before the division of the nation into two kingdoms: Exodus 16:31; Exodus 40:38; Leviticus 10:6; Leviticus 17:3.Numbers 20:29. Jos 21:45. 1 Samuel 7:2 1 Samuel 7:3. 2 Samuel 1:12; 2 Samuel 6:5 2 Samuel 6:15. 2 Samuel 12:8; 2 Samuel 16:3.Ruth 4:11 (compare Exodus 19:3, note). "The house of Judah" also occurs four times.
