Rechabites They were descended from Hobab, the brother-inlaw of Moses.. Kenite tribe, who migrated with Israel to Canaan. Compare Numbers 10:29 with Judges 1:16; Judges 4:11-17; Judges 5:24; 1 Samuel 15:6. They were proselytes, not idolaters; inhabiting the wilderness south of Judah.
