Fifteen times the Lord used this term in prayer (omitting parallel passages in brackets): Matthew 11:25; Matthew 11:26 (Luke 10:21); Joh 26:39, Joh 26:42 (Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42). Next to John 17, this is the longest prayer recorded of our Lord.

hast heard . heardest (Aorist tense). This suggests that the prayer was heard and answered before, perhaps in Peraea. See John 11:4.
