anointed. Three anointings are recorded in the Gospels. The first, probably in Capernaum in the house of Simon the Pharisee (Luke 7:36-60):. woman anointed His feet. The one here was the second, and again His feet were anointed. At the third, in the house of Simon the leper,. woman (unnamed) anointed His head. For the last two see App-156 and App-168.
