ye might say. ye might, with Greek. an, marking it as being purely hypothetical.

this sycamine tree. On. former occasion (Matthew 17:20) the Lord said "this mountain" (of the Transfiguration); and also on. later occasion (Mark 11:23), referring to Olivet. But here, "this tree, "because the locality was different. No discrepancy therefore.

sycamine. mulberry. Occurs only here. Not the same as in Luke 19:4. Both used medicinally.
