arose. were waked. All the texts read "were raised". Is this the resurrection referred to in Romans 1:3. See notes there. Greek. egersis = awaking rousing up, or arising. Occurs only here. Compare John 12:24. They thus fulfilled the Lord's word in John 5:25.
