In the seventh year of Jehu, the king of Israel who had eradicated Baal-worship in Israel, Jehoash began to reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's name, which is mentioned on account of the influence of the queen-mother in an Oriental harem, was Zibiah of Beersheba.
