Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, like the wild beasts whose behavior had been described in the previous section, they have not refrained their feet, not restraining them from the ways of idolatry, therefore the Lord doth not accept them, He confirms them in their idolatrous practices; He will now remember their iniquity and visit their sins.
