And it was so that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, after Job had made his penitent reply, the Lord said unto Eliphaz, the Temanite, as the spokesman and leader of the three friends, My wrath is kindled against thee and against thy two friends, Bildad and Zophar; for ye have not spoken of Me the thing that is right as My servant Job hath, they had persisted in their endeavor to brand Job as an enormous sinner, guilty of gross trespasses, their conclusion therefore having been that calamities always prove guilt, this being a false representation of God's manner of dealing with Job.
