Chambers were built around the outer court. The purpose of the chambers, which were built on the wall, with the pavement in front, is not mentioned, but see Jeremiah 35:2. They were probably used as meeting places, and for the general convenience of worshippers. ‘Thirty' (three intensified) demonstrates a completeness of provision for worshippers.
