This psalm can be divided as follows:
· The psalmist's plea to be heard (Psalms 5:1-3).
· A description of those whom God rejects (Psalms 5:4-6).
· His prayer for God to lead him (Psalms 5:7-8).
· His accusations against God's enemies (Psalms 5:9-10).
· His prayer for the righteous (Psalms 5:11-12).
