There are many whom heathens call gods, and whom God himself calleth gods: the angels that are in heaven are called God's host, Genesis 32:2; the heavenly host, Luke 2:13; the sons of God, Job 1:6, Job 2:1. Magistrates are also called gods, Psalms 82:6, because God hath committed a great part of his power unto them. Thus there are many gods and many lords.
