For that faith, viz. that Jesus is the Son of God, (or the Christ, as 1 John 5:1), fills the soul with so great things concerning him, and the design of his coming among us, and what we are to expect thereupon, as easily turn this world into a contemptible shadow, and deprive it of all its former power over us.
