Solomon offered a sacrifice, by the hands of the priests. A hundred and twenty thousand sheep; not all in one day, but in the seven, or, it may be, in the fourteen days, mentioned 1 Kings 8:65. So, i.e. by these sacrifices and holy exercises. Dedicated the house of the Lord, i.e. began to set it apart for the work and service of God.

63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
