Ver. 9 Mr 16:19 Luke 24:51. As he did not actually give up his life till all was fulfilled, so he did not leave the world till all was revealed by him that was necessary for us. While they beheld; that they might be eye witnesses, and most unexceptionable. He was taken up; not by an external help of angels, but by his own power, and the agility of his now glorious body. And a cloud received him out of their sight: this, though a true cloud, yet was a more than ordinarily glorious one, suitable to the majesty of him that used it.
