Wherefore; these and other sins were the true cause that the land was emptied of men, there was no ground for the heathen's calumny. I poured my fury; I was angry with them, and the effects of my anger were such as made the land and cities desolate. For their idols: idolatry was another of their sins, which brought desolation on them.
