The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones. It is true, we have received some damages from our enemies; but Rezin and the Syrians being now our friends and confederates, we doubt not we shall quickly repair them with great glory and advantage. Sycomores; wild fig trees, a contemptible sort of trees, if compared with cedars, 1 Kings 10:27. We will change them into cedars; putting cedars into our buildings instead of sycomores.
