Swift ships, Heb. ships of desire; which make great haste, as if they longed for their desired haven, as it is called, Psalms 107:30. Or, ships of pleasure; which sail more swiftly than ships of great burden. As the eagle; which generally flies most swiftly, Deuteronomy 28:49 Jeremiah 4:13 Lamentations 4:19, especially when its own hunger and the sight of its prey quickens its motion.
