Most interpreters understand this of the prayers of God's people, from the church, soliciting the Lord Jesus Christ (say some) to gather in the Jews, or the number of his elect, the fields being now white to that harvest, (as Christ useth the metaphor of the Samaritans, 1 Thessalonians 4:35), or, (as others say, with whom I rather agree), to execute vengeance on antichrist and his adherents.
