1 Corinthians 15:39 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

All flesh is not the same flesh.— The scope of the passage makes it evident, that by flesh St. Paul here means bodies; as much as to say, that God has given to the several sorts of animals, bodies in shape, texture, and organization, very different one from another, as he has thought good; and so he can give to men at the resurrection, bodiesofvery different constitutions and qualities from those which they had before. Mr. Locke, instead of beasts, reads cattle, κτηνων.
