Acts 15:40 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

Being recommended by the brethren— St. Luke designing here to drop the history of Barnabas, and pursue that of St. Paul alone, says nothing of the former's being recommended to the grace of God; but there can be no doubt that as the church of Antioch wished them both success, so they recommended both of them, together with their assistants, unto God for his blessing, before they set out upon so great an undertaking.

Acts 15:40

40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
