Hear this word— This is a continuation of the discourse in the preceding chapter. After having denounced upon the Israelites of the ten tribes the evils there recorded, Amos here speaks to the whole race of Jacob, to the Hebrews of the two kingdoms of Judah and Israel. Afterwards he addresses those of the ten tribes only.
