Daniel 3:12 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

They serve not thy gods— Gods in general; not one god, represented by the golden statue. The statue, says Houbigant, in agreement with Calmet, was not of a human form, as is plain from its proportions; for it was ten times higher than broad. However, whatever form it had, whether of a column or a pyramid, many gods might possibly be exhibited hieroglyphically.

Daniel 3:12

12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, havec not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
