Lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son, &c.— As the whole beginning of this chapter is a recapitulation only to introduce an account of the descendants of Adam by Seth, we can conclude nothing respecting any other children of Adam, though there seems no reason to doubt that he had several, who are not mentioned: and probably the words, he begat sons and daughters, at the end of the fourth verse, may refer as well to the children born before as after the period there mentioned.
