By faith Joseph, when he died,— When he was dying. See Genesis 50:24. Joseph shewed the reality of his faith by ordering his bones to be carried into Canaan, when the Israelites should depart thither. This proves that he fully depended upon the divine revelation, and so was a proper instance for the apostle to produce in this place.
