Hebrews 13:19 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

But I beseech you the rather to do this— that is, to pray for me: From what the apostle says in these two verses, it is evident that the Hebrews knew who was the author of this Epistle; and that his design in not setting his name, could not be to conceal himself from them: what his design herein was, we cannot pretend to assert. He would have thempray that success might attend his ministry where he now was, that he might sooner be at leisure to come to them. The case was probably the same as he describes, Romans 15:20-24.
