Isaiah 2:2 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

And it shall come to pass— We have in this period an august and fine image of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. It contains, first, a proposition of a certain admirable event in future time, in which the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be exalted above all mountains, and nations shall flow to it from all parts; Isaiah 2:2-3. Secondly, A declaration of the cause of that conflux, the divine instruction delivered from this mountain;—end of the third verse. Thirdly, Its consequences; 1. The kingdom of Christ among the Gentiles by the word of the gospel. 2. The universal peace of the Gentiles; Isaiah 2:4. See Vitringa.

Isaiah 2:2
